About D9

D9 denotes a hole tolerance zone with running clearance deviation in the ISO 286 system. It is used in D9/h9 (Shaft-basis equivalent of H9/d9, used when several parts with different fits sit on one plain shaft.).

At Ø25 mm D9 is +0.117 / +0.065 mm, i.e. 25.065 to 25.117 mm.

How the limits are calculated

D9 uses grade IT9 (a standard tolerance of 52 µm at 18–30 mm). Fundamental deviation: EI = −es of the same shaft letter; IT9 sets the width above EI. See the fundamental deviation table for every letter. Values per ISO 286-1:2010.
